AMCO Committees
The Government Relations Committee has a primary mandate to make recommendation regarding connecting with provincial parliament, working with AMO and FONOM, and building a stronger working relationship with the MTO and Transport Minister. The Committee will also monitor and respond to any plans or proposals with respect to airports and transportation as necessary and provide direction for AMCO’s advocacy efforts.
The Transport Canada Civil Aviation and Operations Committee has a primary mandate to review CARAC notices, respond to changing regulations, and monitor advisory circulars while also monitoring, reviewing, and responding to changes in TP312, SMS, Winter Operations Standards, ARFF regulations, and others as required.
The Small Airport and Aerodrome Committee has a primary mandate to provide advocacy for and education to AMCO’s small airport and aerodrome members. Regional Meetings
The airports and aerodromes in each of the four regions in Ontario meet quarterly. This is an opportunity for everyone to meet with their regional director and others in the region who may be experiencing similar activity and challenges. This is a main resource for the board to hear directly from the members which can help shape the direction of the association. It is also an excellent opportunity to share and learn from your provincial colleagues. We appreciate the time everyone takes to engage with us!
